Things To Do
You are of course welcome to sit and relax in the pub, but if you fancy something a bit more active, here are some suggestions of things to do in the local area.

Walking

Tyndale Monument near the Black Horse North Nibley
Tyndale Monument
  • Tyndale Monument - A short, steep walk up through beautiful beech woods takes you to the Tyndale Monument. Climb the spiral stairs to the top for views of the Cotswolds, Severn Estuary, both Severn bridges, Bristol, the Black Mountains, the Malvern Hills, and Wales. Website
  • Wotton Hill - Continue past the monument, along the Cotswold Way, past the iron age fort of Brackenbury Ditches to the enclosed trees of Wotton Hill. Return the same way or by one of the many alternative paths through the woods. (4 miles)
  • Stinchcombe Hill - Follow the Cotswold Way North, to climb onto Stinchcombe Hill. Make a clockwise circuit around the oddly shaped flat top, with stunning views before returning the same way. (6 miles) Alternatively, drive up and get the views with as little walking as you like.
  • The Cotswold Way - It goes right past our door. More details. (102 miles)
